Dud Sea Scrawls The Writing, clearly, is not on the wall!

Its been 8 months now and due to unforeseen circumstances i was now waiting outside in the lobby along with my brother waiting anxiously to hear the good news from behind the doors. This was my first time and i was quite tensed. The operator tried to calm me saying it was a normal procedure and i was not the first person feeling this way. That didn’t do much. Excitement was now bursting at its seams and the tension was slowly seeping in. I had been reading up on this from the time i realised love had happened.

It was 10:45 AM, an hour late than what was told would be the time of delivery. She was taken into the room and i couldn’t hear anything from where i was, nor were the people walking in and out of the room giving any information about any new developments. I was pacing around the clean white floored lobby. A few nice pictures adorned the otherwise green walls. I was looking at the pictures, but was seeing her instead. Like an old Russian projector, grainy images of me and her flashed. The kiss of first click, And the rest is the result of this relationship which is why i was standing here.

“Sir, ayithu” (Its done!) , came a meek voice from behind. My brother who was sitting, got up and we both went towards the little man behind the counter.

With a deep breath, i look at him and ask “Kaisa aaya hain?”

“Acha hain” and he hands me over my first baby-my first slide film roll. She looks fabulous and the colours are just like we have planned for. Thanks to the Gynae-Paedia-General Physician IW, who advised on bracketing and few other technical aspects, i literally came out with flying colors.
