Rehan Butt is yellow carded and is sent off the field, the team from Bangalore is down to ten men with the score line 1-1. Hariprasad beats Baljit a second time in the same match with just two minutes remaining and Lions are crowned the PHL Champions.

Bleu, that’s a song sung by Harry Belafonte… just used the starting line for the title, thought it was apt.

Chet! 25000 people paid to watch the final at Chandigarh, I’m sure next year the numbers will only increase. The quality of play is really high class. Foreign players alongside top notch Indian players, professional approach to team management, good marketing and TV coverage… Why cannot this succeed?

PS: I desperately want it succeed & hope and pray that someone comes up with a similar approach to football in India too.
