Dud Sea Scrawls The Writing, clearly, is not on the wall!

Are you guys seeing what I am seeing? These site administrators are allowing people to get in left and right! So we see a lot of new comers and yet no blogs from them! While we are at it, its best to look at ourselves first.

Ask yourselves when you last wrote anything. No, I don’t mean mails or if-then-else code. When did last write a blog? I am not asking when did you last think of writing ‘coz I know you will happily answer ‘Just this morning I was thinking…..’ Let me answer it for you. You don’t remember because you have not written in long time! If you had, we would have read it right?! Who is that ‘we’ here? I am talking for everyone and yet no one in particular. Kind of weird but so be it. Things like this needs to be done for the benefit of one and all

Before even pointing fingers to the new comers lets see how we are faring. Or how we fared in the previous year ( which incidentally is the first full year of the group ). Bilbo was telling Vivek was the last person to be ragged properly and he is writing regularly. Is there a connection? If there is we should plan a mass ragging some time.

Lets start from Salonii ( Why her? ). Well, was she not the one wrote the mother of all blogs in 2004? How many did she write after that? Zero or tending to zero. Ofcourse she says she has written her magnum opus ( Thats what she thinks though we beg to differ ) and hence can sit on her laurels ( She did not say this though!! ). Well this is just like Tendulkar/Sehwag/Laxman/Ganguly ( depending on your hate factor ) scoring a century and averaging 6 in next 10 innings. Well yes, Hum Hindustani Hum Hindustani.
She has proclaimed in the SB that a new blog will be written by EOD tomorrow. Few points for her ( and rest too )
Make sure it is more than 500 words and each word does not repeat more than 10 times. Ofcourse we like to read but dont want to read all the buckwaas about ‘How lucky we should feel about ourselves to read from Her Majestic directly and how the Queen does not have time to write or How we are not mature enough to understand what Nobles say’

Where is our friend Nithya these days? What happened to all the paintings and travelogues? ( That reminds me Suresh also has not written much but will excuse him for few days hoping we can address him as Dr. soon ). Last we met her she said she is not so busy but Chander is extremely busy. Chander had a bandage on his left hand and when asked about it he promptly told the story ( without once looking at Nithya). Seems like Nithya was preparing Chappati on a sunday morning and previous night’s dishes were still in the sink waiting for Chander to clean them. Chander was working on Saturday too and could not find time. Nithya touched him lovingly ( so she says ) on his hand with the chappati roller and now we see he is wearing a bandage. We did want to ask him ‘Only one hand?!’ but did not want to make Nithya’s face redder than what it was. Did not have to wait long for clearing the doubt. We saw him shifting the protective cover to the right hand just before they left. Chander, being the nice guy he is, wanted us to understand the situation and not ask too many questions. You have our sympathies Chander. Wish you a speedy recovery. In that way at least Nithya gets time for herself to paint and blog.

Prad and IW post their photo collection some time and think they have did all they have to! Hello, have you ever understood what “Sulekha” means? Photos are good but not good enough. Learn from bilbo. Though she posts some nice photo of the dish she says she prepared , she does write about it. Its another matter I dont believe the dish will turn to be the like the one in photo if you ever tried it ‘coz I have my own doubts that bilbo’s writing and photography are two distinct and unrelated events!
I like IW’s whinnings but he can write only when he whines but I dont like IW whining! Its not good for health! How can he write if he cant whine? Hope the new year will provide some meaningful answers. Same problem with Silo. She cant write if she is not in a pub with a pen and a paper and she has no time to go to pub and if she gets it, you are not allowed to just sit and write!

Kculon writes once in a blue moon ( May be blue moon appears more frequently than his writings ). Its true many of us need a dictionary to understand the blog completely but atleast we get to see some excellent writing if he writes, a big if that is.
The list is definitely not exhaustive but just wanted to give some food for thought!

Btw Part-1 in the title is to remind our famous resident ‘Part-1’ writers viz. SSM ( Sir, posting link is not considered to be blogging FYKI ), IBL,Scout that’s its high time they consider going beyond that part. I cant say this to Asuph as he is writing regularly now and also he will say ‘Part -1’ was just part of the title!

Where have Fizo/buck/tocsin disappeared. See their comments once in a while but no posts at all! Yeah, Fizo writes what lil’ A says but what does the story writer inside her say ?! Buck posts a comments if it involves Crys. He wants to be on the safer side. Cant blame him much too,can we ?!
Tocsin is dead. Long live Tocsin. Actually this holds good to others too but am not saying their names lest they haunt me later.

Coming back to new comers, lets see some writing from you people. I know you will say you cant write as well as we do. Don’t you think we dont know that part?. We know pretty well that our writing is top class. That’s why we are not writing much and allowing you to improve your hidden talent! If you don’t start now, how will you catch up with us?! Jokes apart, even after reading this blog don’t you feel you can do better?!! I see many but no blogs or comments or buckwaas from them! I ask what they are doing then?!

Well, we need to have a periodic review !

Posting photos is okay, writing comments is good, doing buckwaas is better but what we like to see is some writing people!

PS : Just in case you have forgotten how to write a blog,Move the mouse on “content” tab on the Left Hand Side of the page. Click on “Create Content”. Select “Personal Blog Entry”. Give appropriate title, category and write your blog ! You need to be a member of DSS if you are not already one to post.
