Dud Sea Scrawls The Writing, clearly, is not on the wall!

I don’t care how commercial they have become, I still like Coldplay. Even if every other person on the planet likes them, I do.

Chris Martin’s lyrics always get under my skin.

This summer has been…quite an interesting dance…where my heart is concerned. I have been loved, lied to, teased, ultimatum’d, yelled at, set free, reigned in, rediscovered, set free, ignored, hounded, starved, claimed, thirsted after, “whatever and ever”…but I’ve been.

That’s the important bit, I’m told–just that I’ve been.

And here are some of the lyrics from the songs I’ve listened to through it all.

If I could, I’d tie him down and make him listen to these songs. But I don’t believe in telling someone how to love you. If they do it just because you say so, that doesn’t mean they want to…

…unless they ask you, ever, how they can make you happy. Because they want to make you happy. And I haven’t been asked, so I’ve not said. And perhaps he doesn’t need another hungry mouth pulling, pulling at him. But he should remember that I didn’t find him. And I didn’t ask to be a casualty…a martyr for his time…for his consideration.

And he should know that it isn’t easy for me, either. I’ve hardly been this afraid in all my life.

And I really am…afraid of him.

So, I go…without fear.
