Am I allowed to post here? I know I have not been a good DSS member, have not posted anything since Jan 2006 and have not even commented on any posts since a reaalllllyy long time. But I swear I have been reading everything here and DSS is in my favorites , I swear guys..And technically I am still a member..

Some time back or rather a long long time back (as some people are quick to point out), I had posted two poems which I had called the Smoky Lounge poems and then they became my undoing. Everybody here remember those poems and then nothing else I have posted after that. .

So here is another attempt at the Smoky Lounge Series. Hope you like it.

Udikna is a Punjabi word that means “Long Wait”. I vividly remember the moment this word entered my conscious. It was on a Sunday afternoon many years back.
